Premier League betting advice

This is the last round of fixtures before the latest international break and managers, players and fans – not to mention punters – will be looking for a good weekend of Premier League action.

The season so far has been a tough one for punters and whilst the top five has a very familiar feel, the absence of Man City (currently seventh) and Man United (a scarcely believable 12th) is indicative of the many shock results there have been.

The Manchester clubs have collectively lost five times already and with Arsenal having gone down to Villa – at home – and Liverpool suffering a surprise defeat at Anfield to the high-flying Saints, few would have enjoyed much success with their accumulators thus far.

Due to midweek European action, this weekend sees just six Saturday games, the pick of those being the early televised clash between Man City and Everton. City have been superb at home, registering three wins from three but Bayern Munich routed them on Wednesday and given Everton are full of confidence, well-rested and boast a 4-1-1 record from their last six at the Etihad the call has to be Everton +0.5 at 5/4 with bet365.

The other big Saturday game sees Man United travel to Sunderland and only a win will do for David Moyes and co. They got a decent draw in Donetsk on Wednesday and should have enough to get past the winless Black Cats. Heaven help Moyes if they don’t!

On Sunday, Southampton host Swansea and it should be an attractive game but with the Swans playing St Gallen on Thursday the home win looks great value at 23/20 with BetVictor.

Our other tip on the day of rest is to back goals when the Baggies host Arsenal, fresh from their superb win at Old Trafford. Both to score is a steal here at 4/6 with bet365, with both sides better going forward than at the back we think this could be bet of the weekend.
