Super Martingale system

The Super Martingale gambling system works in exactly the same way as the standard Martingale system, but it adds an extra unit to each bet in order to return a larger profit on larger bets.

As long as you're winning, you keep to a 1 unit stake. Every time you lose, you double your stake to win back your losses, but the Super Martingale system adds on another unit to win an extra profit of 1 unit.

The Super Martingale is another favourite with Roulette players.

Sequence of bets

The theory may sound complex, but you don't need to understand it - you just need to follow the following sequence of wagers in a losing streak:

1, 3, 7, 15, 31, 63, 127, 255, 511, 1023, 2047, 4095 etc

Why use the Super Martingale?

As with the Martingale system, it would appear that you're certain to make a profit. The reality is that if you use this system in the long term, you're more likely to hit a long losing streak and run out of funds. Even before that point, you'll need to risk a lot in order to win a little.

The Super Martingale - tested

The table below shows how the Super Martingale fared in our systems tests.

For a reminder of the tests we use, check out our systems summary page…

Test

1. Alternating win
2. Alternating loss
3. Consecutive win
4. Consecutive loss
5. Good win
6. Bad loss

Overall result for all 6 tests

Result

12 units profit
10 units profit
10 units profit
12 units profit
12 units profit
114 units loss

58 units loss

Another 'unbeatable' system - but only in theory

As with the Martingale system, the tests show that, as long as your sequence ends on a win, the Super Martingale system will always return a profit. And with the Super Martingale, the gains are more significant.

Reality check

But the losses mount even more quickly than the standard Martingale, so the two factors of bankroll and house limits (see Martingale verdict) are even more relevant. Your wins are greater with the Super Martingale system, so you can achieve a profit much quicker, but hit that losing streak and you'll be gambling with all that accumulated profit.

A high-risk system

If you're a high-risk gambler who enjoys the thrill of placing large bets for modest returns, the Super Martingale gambling system will suit you down to the ground.

But we would advise you to understand the nature of winning and losing streaks, bear in mind our overall strategy and decide for yourself if you want to take the risk of just 7 consecutive losses resulting in a loss of almost 250 betting units.
